I’ll be sharing my thoughts, ideas, questions that have arisen whilst enduring the UK Coronavirus lockdown. They may take any shape; poems, short stories, rants etc all early drafts (no more than an hour of work)  in attempt to overcome a fear of sharing work that isn’t finished, to keep sane, to connect to world

A black out poem (erasure poem) created from an article in the ‘i’ newspaper, Monday 6th April, No. 2922 edition. The original article was celebrating the life of Manolis Glezos, resistance WWII hero and politician, I’m not going to pretend I knew who he was, no disrespect intended in blacking out the article.

Life in Brief

                         Hug
and dance a little.
The first visible act
of resistance
                      of defiance
is movement.
Repeatedly imprisoned
                by occupation,
authorities
                           work.
Remain active,
life is
a
wing.
Return to the
birthplace.
Vote
Protest.
Fight.
Light
gives the strength to unite
to overcome difficulties.
Live as a fighter who
knew how to
move,
then
die.
